Jameelah has a passion for working with at-risk youth. With belief in the mantra “it takes a village to raise a child”, Jameelah is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of youth.
Makessa Jackson, Co-Founder
Makessa is dedicated and determined to be a positive role model for youth. Because of the positive impact drill team had on her life, she uses her experience as a vehicle to provide youth with a positive, team oriented environment that fosters growth and development.
Our mission is to present a community based drill team and drum line for the purposes of:

Performing across the area by participating in a variety of parades and festivals.
•
Promoting teamwork and developing leadership skills.
•
Providing recognition and support to encourage the youth in our charge.
•
Providing us as positive role models.
• Offer various community service opportunities to members.
Objectives supporting this mission statement are:
•
To perform at least 10 parades and/ or festivals a year.
•
To be recognized as a significant cultural asset by the community.
•
Implementing a mentor-ship program within the organization.
•
Teaching the young men and ladies tips in etiquette, hygiene, professionalism, and respect.
